DIFFERENT SIDES

Morning sky, a rosy hue
welcomes dawn, a day anew
sparkling diamonds glitter afar
sleeping city
how safe you are.

Morning sky, a dusty hue
welcomes dawn, a day anew
bursting bombs shatter afar
chaotic city
how frightened you are.

Afternoon sun's glowing rays
welcomes all to lazy days
summer's here you can tell
nothing to fear
all is well.

Afternoon sun's relentless rays
welcomes soldiers with its fiery blaze
hostility's here you can tell
but you are alive
and war is hell.

Quiet gloaming, day is done
gone the morning, gone the sun
tranquil moments be at peace
dancing fireflies
worries cease.

Nighttime shadows, day's not done
continuing on without the sun
covert actions be aware
mark each step
with utmost care.
