VETERANS DAY

Setting here in the park, on this Veterans Day;
You and I, holding hands on this very special day.

A young lady walks up and gives us two special flags.
She says, “Thank you sir,
I know you where there.
I’m so glad that you came home,
but my husband is still over there and so much alone.
I just wish that I could hear his voice…… not yours.
I just feel so all alone.”
