HE’S A HERO
He’s a great hockey player, or that’s what I hear
He rakes in a million dollars a year
He once scored a goal which decided the game
Now every fan knows of the fellow by name…
HE’S A HERO!!
The guy in the movies may look pretty tough
In speedy car chases he may know his stuff
He’s fooling around with another man’s wife
But fan magazines tell the world of his life
HE’S A HERO!!
He stands by the mike and he howls like a mutt
He strums his guitar and he wriggles his butt
He’s well into drugs and he drinks like a fish
But teen-age girls think he’s a helluva dish –
HE’S A HERO!!
The APC lay just outside of the wire
The body is buckled, the ammo’s on fire
To rescue his buddy the young soldier tried
But he was too late, and the two of them died.
HE WAS REMEMBERED BRIEFLY BUT FORGOTTEN A WEEK LATER
