ITS VETERANS DAY ONCE AGAIN
We celebrate another Veterans Day
We have troops away once again
Fighting, bleeding, and dying
Someone's mother will grieve her son
Someone's wife will be given a flag
Someone's son and daughter will never know their dad
Someone's dad will cry himself to sleep
Someone's buddies will wonder Lord why them and not me
Someone's priest, pastor, or rabbi will pray aloud
Asking God to welcome another soldier home
Some other Veterans know what this soldier's death means
It is there to remind us all that we are free
That freedom has a cost
These Veterans will always remember for us all
That it's Veterans Day once again.
