ISN’T IT SAD?

Isn’t it sad
… that to go to war young, you sometimes never live long enough to live?
… that if you survive and a comrade does not, you are filled with guilt over something that isn’t your fault?
… that if you survive, you have nightmares, flashbacks, PTSD?
… that if you fight for freedom, you enter a prison of memories?
… that if you fight for honor, you feel unworthy?
… that if you fight for another country’s freedom, you’re spit upon?
… that if you follow your Commander in Chief, you go to war and he sits home in comfort?
… that if you come home, it’s 50/50 whether it’s in a box or not?
… that if you are alive, it’s 50/50 whether you’re wounded?
… that if you are not wounded, it just means the scars on your soul are not visible?

Isn’t it sad?
