HOLIDAY ON THE HIGHWAY
While you’re getting ready for your Holiday Trip,
Take a moment and study this timely tip.
Traffic will be heavy, expect ice, fog and snow.
On curves, hills and bridges – take it easy, take it slow.
There are lots of ways to get your Holiday kicks,
But drinking and driving just do not mix.
You might think a drink or two is no big deal,
But just the same, stay out from behind that wheel.
Tailgating is trouble, and that’s no lie.
So keep a safe distance and a watchful eye.
And that unused seatbelt by your side,
Won’t help a bit to save your hide.
Don’t be like that fellow, old Jonathan Gray,
Who died “defending” his right of way.
Our leaders now say you can do seventy five.
What’s the rush? Plan ahead and you’ll come back alive
Driving is serious; it’s not child’s play.
So if you “drive to live” all of the way,
Then you’ll “live to drive” another day.
Enjoy your Holidays and be of good cheer.
Drive safely; drive sober and we’ll see you next year.
