BIRTH OF A NATION

Today is the fourth day in July.
The day that our Nation was given birth;
And from that humble start, it has evolved
Into the greatest Republic upon this earth.

We enjoy Freedom and Liberty without constraint.
Our wish is that all the world could do the same;
And to those who reach out with searching hearts…
We offer Lady Liberty’s eternal flame.

We can gather where and when we please,
And with our leaders agree or disagree.
We can worship whatever God we choose,
And we can speak our minds with impunity.

We are free to travel throughout the fifty states,
And if we do what wonders we will see!
We have snow-capped mountains and desert sand,
Forests, lakes and miles of shoreline by the sea.

Today, as we celebrate our Country’s birth,
Take time for thanks and gratitude and pride.
Spend the day being glad you’re an American…
Your Flag, your friends and family by your side.
