TALONS OF DEATH AND COURAGE
High above the tree tops glide “Eagles”
Feathered gods within their realm abide
Talons sharp and strong of grip
Wings of strength with power, magnificent length
Dive and swoop on currents of wind that blow graciously
With ease, grace swiftness on the earth below.
Eyes that pierce the night, as that of day
Courage that no other creature can say
Is theirs since these winged guardian, guards of sky and earth
Power that can lift a mountain goat of a ledge
Eyes that can for miles see
Swiftness of dive that cannot be matched by any other winged serpent
Talons that are the grip of Death
Match no others far and wide our winged like angels of grace
Eagles stand for Honour and Pride
Courage, Strength that does abide and are
Guardians of this clear blue sky and air we breath
Nature’s centurion gliding by, so high!!!
