WHAT’S WRONG WITH TODAY?

We bring them into the world
then put them into harm’s way,
drop bombs all around ‘em
and take their loved ones away

including their precious mothers,
who, being no longer around,
can’t birth any fresh ones
to bury in the ground.

O, the guilt trips of war
all the death and the sorrow…
all we abhor
maybe tomorrow.
