GOD IS ON OUR SIDE

I’m taking on everyday as if it’s just begun,
When you’re at war out in the rain you’re looking for the sun.
Sometimes there’s a gut feeling and you feel it in your bones.
Army life’s an institution nobody really owns.
Soldiers are doing all they can as best as they know how,
It’s like driving down a hard road with shoulders to the plough.
Victory is possible even though many have died.
We will make it home again because God is on our side.
