SITUATION

the edge is in the elation
one inch from my nose
and all across creation

and even where the deer and antelope
roam
the poem is the poet
and
the poet is the poem

from a line borrowed
for the day
because Octavio Paz is dead
and far away

and this message in a bottle
bobs with the deserted feet
in an endless internet surf
as the master engineer
pushes full speed on the throttle

the sound track loud
so loud it causes a vibration
in time to Copeland’s drums
and the dancers are in full gyration
a truly fluid synchronicity

to fit the
situation
