Can Maya Come Out To Play?
My Granddaughter, MayaMaya est quarte ans aujourd’hui.
Maya is four years old today.
Je souhaire que le pourais lui demander dehors de jouer.
I wish I could ask her out to play.
Nous pourrions installer des tabes et des chaises
et la faire a the pour le tout des ours.
We could set up tables and chairs
and make tea for all her bears.
Alors elle connaitaire la presante partie.
Then she would know this part.
Elle est la reine du coeur de grand-papa.
She is the Queen of Grandpa’s heart.

Author’s Note: First day of fall, it’s the birthday of the Queen of my heart, my Princess MAYA, the daughter of Heather and Eloi, granddaughter of Anna May and John-Ward. Le Grand-papa a voir encore la fille, but is practicing his Francias for such a day.
My French is not what it should be but I’m working on it. My children’s story Princess MAYA and her bear battalion, goes slowly because I’m spending a lot of time in translation. I’m also looking at ways to illustrate the text and make it interesting in both languages. Sorry about the poem, I couldn’t get it to rhyme in both languages.
