COFFEE VILLE

lost lines
lost in the immensity
of my brains
inventory

kind of like the ten thousand monkeys
who will inadvertently
type
much ado about nothing

unfortunately the question remains
is there a typewriter
for each monkey’s
brains

who loads the paper
for this feckless exercise
questions the left side
while the right side runs and hides

all the fun of being there and doing that
is that for some unknown reason
we have
survived

why is not germane
its just a part of the game
there were many who did it right
and didn’t make it through the night

this pill that pill
and its hard to relate
watching a big bummed blond
wave it around right at her best before date

so much for that cheap thrill
I’m easily distracted
and in the mood for finger food
