BUDDHA AT HEARTBREAK AND PAIN

i missed him for some days
i wasn’t accustomed to his ways
then i found out something that made me shiver
BUDDHA has a defective liver.

most days he is there rain or shine
an icon for all to see
he is all there is to see
he has no problem with to be or not to be.

i took the shot from a block away
i didn’t want to ruin his day
and then I entered into the fray like that
and dropped a twonie in his hat.

usually he doesn’t say a word
and if you talk it’s as if he hadn’t heard
but today he looked up and smiled
and said thank you.

it made my day
