Why did you stay
when others walked
away?

You walked in
alone,
surrounded by light
… and distance came so much closer.
Dawn fell from Night!

All these years are but, that day!
When Love taught me
to pray!
Alone from the heart!
… a thankful prayer
in the midst of my night.

Your eyes laughing,
smiling, and bright.

… So thanks!
to the women of warriors true.
Freedom lives
because
of you!
