MY DARKNESS

Light streams through stained glass
A sign that all darkness will pass
He sits in the center pew
Darkness emanates drawing you
Dress green suit, ribbons and brass shines
The darkness touches your minds
He was in war yesterday
He is in a church today
He should feel safe, no danger
He can’t relax, not safe, danger
The fight is not over
It has just gone covert
“How can you enter this house of Light”
Is asked with indignant right
“Without knowing the dark
How can you love the light”
