Colin F. Jones

I am a camera with undeveloped film;
Scenes grotesque, unwound upon the spool,
The case is hard and has never been refilled,
To prevent decay internally so cruel.
The lens is soiled where it fits the case,
The aperture closed not letting light shine in,
To show the horror on this unseen face,
Etched on the film strip of cellophane so grim.
Old fashioned now the camera never used,
Gains not attention that the film be viewed,
That oft its casing is ignorantly abused,
For it is battered, its casing old and crude.
If someone finds me and develops what I am,
Then I hope forever all cameras they will ban.
