TO GOD’S POETS

Supernal thoughts make purer mention,
Of thy faith which gladdens thee,
When inscribed to draw attention,
To thy, great works of poetry.
Whereas thy God is not obliging,
In giving shape to show his form,
Tis wondrous that I see emerging,
A steadfast faith to meet the storm
For though you write of people crying,
Of pain and anguish flame and fire,
Of war torn fields and soldiers dying,
Your faith in God does not expire.
Thus to all you bards of steadfast faith,
God bless you all and keep you safe.
