THERE THEY STAND

There they stand all those old men,
Trying to look so tall,
Attempting to do the policeman’s job,
Keeping idiots off the wall.

And maybe if they mix it
With the protestors when they come,
Some of them will die again
And lose all that is won.

And really, just by being there,
Gives the foe their might,
For the media they don’t care
Which side is right…

The protestor, he will win again,
Because he called you out to play;
Free advertising is real gain,
They will have wasted not their day
