Who would not serve thee would in hate evolve,
For how could such folk peace from truth resolve,
As from thy history greater is thy lease,
Which counts on freedom to demonstrate its peace.
What man would falter what woman would deny,
What soldier would not for this nation die;
‘Tis true of thee that thou art great and free,
Yet with grand passion bend thy humble knee.
This generous servant of our noble Earth,
Appoints loves value as sweet freedom’s worth,
And by its sacrifices made in human blood,
Describes the deeper love of brotherhood…
And where her servants are, there are her friends,
Who, side by side with her, God’s peace defends.
