Man fights for those who are his own;
For those who share his blood and bone,
And those who belong to his extended tribe;
The brothers who stand firm by his side.
It is only by force and the rule of law,
That he fights for others in any war,
And in actual battle it is one for one,
Back to back until it’s over and done.
The culture of hype and fancy words,
The waving flags and political absurds,
Are not in the hearts of soldiers born,
But in the mouths of politicians who adorn,
The Veterans who struggle to survive
In patriotic bullshit – the ultimate bribe
