A hawk is a better guardian than the Dove,
Though it may seem more difficult to love,
But what is love; it is just a word
That we only apply to the gentle bird.
The Dove is one colour that it be seen,
Often white; and sometimes cream,
The hawk is brown; or in between,
The Dove is not, as the Hawk, supreme:
The prey and predator; war and peace,
The essence of life that will not cease.
The Hawk flies high; it trusts in truth,
But the Dove flies low and is quite aloof.
One is fickle and the other is firm,
Love fizzles in one that in the other will burn.
