Trying to extirpate religious rivalry
That only a dictatorship can control,
Is doomed to end in failure,
For it is not another’s role…
To force their moral thinking,
Upon such an ingrained way of life,
Though from the battlefield they’re shrinking,
They’ll still carry a concealed knife.
They will long hear the cry of children,
Dying in their streets,
Miss the absence of their buildings,
Where they used to socialize and meet.
While they bow to the better tyrant,
Whose oppression they can’t defeat.
