SO LONG AS IT’S THEM

Recruitment diminishes in time of war,
Fewer knock upon the patriotic door,
Though both Presidents would do the same,
Tis only the one, the people will blame.
It matters not that good soldiers die,
Though tis always because of political lie,
For dying is what trained soldiers do,
So long as it’s them; and it is not you.
The stockpiles of bombs bullets and guns,
Reduce with the dollars and allocated funds,
While the weaponry proven by their violent use,
Lifts the corporate threshold and political excuse,
To a profitable margin that greater despair,
Is provided by the function of manufactured repair.
