History forgotten is History repeated
Yet how do we recall what we are still living?
We cannot forget it until it’s defeated,
To determine the value of never forgiving.
Great men are generals and dictators in history,
Kings and Popes and Presidents of States,
All with large egos and plenty of riches,
All who control great masses of fate.
Their subjects are numbers manoeuvred and set,
In the chains of the law that governs their time,
Controlled by their greed and monetary debt,
And programmed to mimic a patriotic rhyme.
History remembered is history repeated,
Which being forgotten has never depleted.

Author’s Note: It’s an interesting line: “History forgotten is History repeated”, because the greater reality seems to be the opposite.
