Colin F. Jones

The foe is just the enemy I must kill,
I think not much about him or his skill;
he’s just a bloke who must, to live, kill me.
That’s all there is to it, my friend you see.
To stay alive I’m filled with fear and flame;
I’m loud and fierce and we are all the same.
We brandish arms and watch each others backs,
‘cause we don’t wanna go home in body sacks.
Oh yeah we’re proud of unit and of flag,
and sometimes of our nation we do brag.
But all in all we fight for freedom’s peace;
that war across the world might decrease
and serve to bring us happiness and hope
and teach us all with differences to cope.
