IF WE DRAW NOT BACK THE BOW

If we draw not back the bow
The arrow cannot fly,
And many more men will know
What it’s like not to die.
Talk may inflame the mind
But it preserves the peace;
For anger can be kind
If it is all that we release.
Oh blessed are the meek,
Who stand against the war;
Whose voices loudly speak
Above the cannons roar…
For what it is they seek,
Is common sense to restore.
