We are for one and all; we are for one
Is why a troop of soldiers does their best
Together they protect themselves but none
Are, by themselves, as good as all the rest
We never leave from where we never left
And never go where we might go alone
For you and I are one that we are blessed
One of the other you and I have grown
One missing leaves a memory of loss
The ranks close up to hide the vacant space
He lays among his friends a stark white cross
A living spirit though a missing face
For a soldier is a group of soldiers strong
To one and to each other they belong
