‘Tis easier for a brother to cause one pain,
Than it is for a hated foe,
Though a brother by it seeks no gain,
For he pulls the hateful blow.
They may retire to different ground,
To breathe out spurts of fire,
But in their hearts their love is sound,
And that’s all that they require.
Towards the end of life they come,
And there is no time for war,
For all the fighting has been done,
In a past that is no more.
And the lasting peace they proudly won,
They can still choose to restore.
