A BIT MUCH

“A bit much”, it is; reality and fact,
‘Tis not the easiest thing to believe;
But then who knows who will react
And think that we deceive.
We suffered that, did we not
Before our troops returned?
All the flak from home we got,
All our truth was spurned.
And always from ‘the never been’;
From those who could not know.
How many of them have we seen?
They forever come and go.
“A bit much”, yes, it surely was,
Though some will never know.
