I WANDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD

On earth I wandered lonely as a cloud
Demonic war my shroud
By gung-ho naïveté enlisted
Values close-fisted
Tenuously ensnared in the world’s barbed wire
Gone to the sky moon of molten fire.

I’m absorbed by tender imagining
Alongside jocund brothers’ marching
Rhythms of feet humping
That innocent spirit terror’s sate
Wielding double trouble fate
I bring the vicious cycle of hate.

Eternal throughout the years
Carnal war brought only tears
Living long with tormented fears
Damnations embroiled
Brotherly love foiled
Life by war soiled.
