VIOLENCE

Bonded into time
of a different kind
no clear-cut line
or memory remind.

Baffled by hatred
lost vision found
most fear to tread
hearing without sound.

Clasping in handcuffs
struggles in the heart
with a stranger tuffs
believing in their part.

Violence untamed lust
creatures from the dark
silence ever to trust
emotions oft stark.

Could it be known
nurtured and inbred
commonly now shown
in our society wed?
