Sitting lonely in the forest
hearing silence all about;
still not able to even rest
listening for senseless sound.

Softly when bells pealed
stinging memories evoked
wounds which never healed
senseless sound provoked.

Sabers rattling in the still
caissons rolling ever slow
clip-clop horses also fill
senseless sound to grow.

Nay mate isn’t over there
found instead within heart
for all those you still care
senseless is also a part.
