FROSTBITE

Heats unbearable pain
feelings without sense
blood snow to stain
must be dreaming dense.

Shoes filled with holes
wrapped in icy rags
freezing deadly tolls
my body slowly drags.

Unable to hear others
unable to see the trail
losing sisters/brothers
system beginning to fail

Frostbite embraces me
slowly drowning in time
soon I’ll be forever free
dying even as my chime.

Casually all disappears
found somewhere else
silencing all my fears
hearing sacred bells.
