Charles J. Ingerson

Little children in the womb
no longer to worry unfree
a longer struggle to the tomb
seeking so much just to be

Stretching within a protection
the giant not able to hurt
new world’s begin inspection
voices silent now to assert

Mud in puddles no longer red
smiles appearing all to see
having another obituary read:
for a change not a you or me

Finger painting life colors new
brightness filling minds with rays:
profusions lovely now to view
praying this freedom born stays

Decorating in freedom’s face
no dole or angry rejection
wonderful this day to trace
memories of a new collection
