A SOFTNESS

“I felt them as a whisper on my neck at the times I felt the worst…” Anthony W. Pahl: September 14, 2003Whispered breezes
my neck caressing
healing from within
comforts oft blessing
Lifting off burdens
allowing new strength
coming when the worst
stretching me to length.
A softness knowing
you’re there for me
I felt your prayers
weaknesses to flee.
Soldiers found to cry
emotions welling
deep inside today
feeling tears swelling.
Comrades far away
still able to share
a softness showing
how much they do care
