Rocky, who now lives in Pennsylvania, served in Viet Nam with the US Army from December 1969 to May 1971 as part of a fourth order survey group, which traversed coordinates down to FSBs under the command of the 2nd Field Force, and traveled II, III, and IV Corps to perform MOS 83C20.
In December of 1970, Rocky extended for 6 months, went home on leave, and while home this unit retired its Colors and returned to the States. When he returned to Nam, he was re-assigned to the 2nd BN 32nd Arty., doing the same MOS. About 2 months in, he change jobs to man a new technical Radar setup at FSB Katum.
