Tanya J. Greigo: Global War on Terrorism/Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran
Tanya and Wisdom
Tanya is a disabled veteran of the Global War on Terrorism having served in Operation Enduring Freedom and the Gulf War. She served in the United Stated Air Force with the rank of Captain from 2000-2003 at the 81st Medical Group, Keesler Air Force Base, MS and was deployed in 2002 as a Clinical Social Worker in the 376 AEW at Ganci Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. Tanya has recently been awarded the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal for her active contributions during her military service (Read her poem, “Waiting – A Sonnet of Unrecognized Service” for more details of her battle for recognition)

A Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work since 1993, Tanya is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Military Officers of America Association.

Since joining the team at the Biloxi Veterans Center (which is part of the Veterans Administration) in June 2003, Tanya has been working with Veterans of Biloxi and Mobile who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Military Sexual Trauma.
