THE EVE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
The Eve before Christmas
And what do I hear
Could it be Santa
With his cute little deer?
I looked out the window
And what did I see
It sure wasn’t Santa
Who’d come to see me
Hey, you with the duffle
All covered with mud
Get off of my roof…
He jumped with a thud
He said, “I was sent here
By the IWVPA
Santa couldn’t make it
And I ain’t got no sleigh
“I’m his distant cousin
My name’s Bubba Clause
I ain’t got no reindeer
Just this ole run down Ford
“I got all these here letters
Santa said: boy git it in gear
This is very urgent
Now put down your beer
“So stand back little lady
I gotta big job to do
Everything in this here truck
They’re all presents for you.”
There were small ones and big
Wrapped in red and green
More than I could count
And all just for me :o)
Hey, wait just one doggone minute:
Who did you say you were?
I can’t find the digicam
And where’s my new computer?
to be continued…
