ANOTHER HALLOWEEN IS OVER

Another Halloween is over –
Time to take down the purple lights,
return the fake skeletons to their closets,
and to remove the fake lawn gravestones

Another Halloween is over –
Time to take down the spooky cobwebs
Put the artificial skulls back in the cabinet
And to remove the fake black widows

Another Halloween is over –
Time to take down the phony demons
Place the make-believe devils back in their boxes
And to remove the replica snarling rats

Another Halloween is over –
Time to dispose of that pesky trick ‘n’ treater
And put him into that homemade pine coffin
And remove all of his identifying parts

Another Halloween is over –
Time to clean up that bloodied old axe
And put it back in my hidden tool box
After removing all that pesky D.N.A.
