SHOWING UP

There were plenty of reasons not to go;
Government protest,
Fear,
Selfishness,
Social Conscience,
God, or
Religion (hardly connected).
Plenty of reasons not to go
For some, and
I am okay with all of them.

But, for some that went,
There was never a choice.
No decision to be made.
It never occurred to do anything, but
Show up……
To have done anything else,
Would not have felt right.
It would not feel right forever.
