LIVING MEMORIES

Decades ago, you retired the title of soldier.
You never retired the spirit of one.

Vivid memories of sight, of sound, of smell
very young soldiers doing a tour in hell!
Dreams now empty; a man’s heart so jaded
innocence, hopefulness, and another future faded.

Tired warriors, silent heroes, in the past still stand
unwilling to forget Brothers lost on foreign land.
Trying to move forward to their future calling
being a voice for the thousands of valiant fallen.

Our promise to remember them – many a last request

WE ARE THE LIVING MEMORY
OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR BEST!

To everything there is a purpose…
your life is a voice and memory of so many.
