Jeanne ~ Dancing Butterfly
OUR DRUMS WILL BE HEARD
We are still here
Our Drums still beat
In Powwow’s we unite
Our People still speak
Our Land was taken
Native voices cried out
Our Ancestors weep
Hurts are still deep
Reservations are struggling
In Keeping the Native ways
With prayers they will survive
Helping them with their needs
Native Children at Powwow’s
Wearing Feathers so proud
Dancing in the Sacred Circle
Saying We are still around
Sharing of our Stories
With many of our lores
Passing them down to others
Keeping our Cultures strong
When on the Red Road
We are never alone
Brothers and Sisters in hand
Remembering this is our land
Our Strength is still strong
We Dance to our Songs
For Generations to come
They will still hear our Drums
AHO
