John Casey is an Australian Vietnam Veteran who served in Vietnam from July '70 to July '71 as a radio operator with 104 Signal Squadron based at Nui Dat in Phuoc Tuy Province, III Corps. During that time, he also spent several months on detachment to the U.S. 2/25th Infantry Division in Long Khanh Province, III Corps.
John states: "I took up writing as a means of expressing my feelings about the war and its aftermath, and how it has affected me and those around me. I don't profess to be an expert. I just write what I feel at the time."
