WISHFUL PAINTINGS

I’m going to paint you a picture of far off lands
Where gentle folk reside in simplistic atmospheres
Nary has a worry nor have anxiety riddled demands
Living a life full of love, happiness and good cheers

Delicate landscapes across the distant horizon glow
Full of vibrant colors sparkling and shining around
Soft, windy breezes fly through with a gentle flow
Up and down where grassy knolls ‘n’ prairies abound

Aromas of sage, cedar, and sweet grass filling the air
Cacti scattered around with blooming colorful flowers
Deer, elk, buffalo, and other wild game do not scare
Just freely roaming in this land that’s yours and ours

Flying and soaring above are the many fowl and eagles
Providing food and shelter for their young and old
Sea creatures below swimming ‘n’ residing with gulls
to live harmoniously with all is worth more than gold

Yes, I want to paint this picture with a realistic goal
Where peace, love, and light is abundant throughout
Young and old, man and beast, living in unity’s role
Living without war and fear would not be a doubt!
