WINTER MOON AT DO’S PLACE

I’ve seen the winter moon in my mountains
Shining brightly amongst the vast heavens
‘N down onto the cedar and prairie grasses

Such stillness lies in the valley below them
Not a windy gale or breeze flowing through
Just a frosty air silently covering the land

Thousands and thousands of twinkling lights
Decorating the magnificent dark sky above
Such beautiful, glorious vastness of the sights

Shall I cover and lie still under the night sky?
And keep out the shivers of earth’s cold air?
Or shall I sleep inside and wait till night again?
