In my wakening hours
texting a friend of ours
helped calm the stress
in preparation’s distress

No amount of distance
kept away all assistance
by giving close comfort
definitely worth all effort

Deep appreciation fulfills
my heart’s gladness feels
the giving of love’s view
thank you, and thank you
