Melanie C. Campos ~ MahTame

COME BACK…

Sitting on top
A dried up mossy
Boulder of Dog
Hollow Run

Peering into
The sun’s sparkle
Dancing upon
The watery way

Prairie winds
Blowing through
Midnight hair
As it waves in it

Memories fade
Beyond the sunset
Loneliness sings
The welcoming tune

Remnants of them
Loved ones gone
Heavy hearted soul
Weep for their return

I miss you somethin’
Awful; great sadness
Welling over with the
Tears that keep falling

Time will not stop
Nor stand still again
Keeps moving forward
While I stay in the past

Strength is there
Yet overcome by grief
Come back; please
Come back, I need you
