Melanie C. Campos ~ MahTame

SOMEWHERE IN THIS PLANET

Somewhere in this planet
A child cries in the night
Another weeps in the day
Bloodied battlefields for play

Somewhere in this planet
Ruling world leaders of granite
Selfishness rules with greed
Overlooking the people of need

Somewhere in this planet
Beautiful countries once sat
Human rights are violated now
Tortuous lives in Kashmir avow

Somewhere in this planet
Water once flowed freely in every outlet
Pollution has ruined the pure Utopia
Like in the Lake Kaku of Ethiopia

Somewhere in this planet
Dark blackened souls rivet
In distasteful crimes
In this society of times

Somewhere in this planet
Blooms a mere simple floret
Proving our Earth will replenish
Regardless of what man will try to abolish
