Known this Warrior

He’s of the Marine Corp
A life he’ll neʼer disavow

Battles still fought
Of life’s adventures
Some passages distraught
Others full of detours

He’s one of the persons
Who has changed my life
Created many illusions
On my heart’s a’life

I’ve grown to care
This he that battles
The likes of PTSD’s snare
Shaking off love’s rattles

He’s still in war
A Vet of ‘Nam
Still serving more
In life’s fragmented bomb
